VG+, Glossy wax with a handful very faint hairlines and light surface markings - Outer sleeve has minor edge/corner wear, start of a seam split in upper right corner - Printed insert included - Ultrasonically cleaned.

Earliest version of gatefold sleeve.

Back cover, all deviating from [r12493723:
It has only eight (8) lines "Thanks to:" on back cover.
Without asterisk after the song "Red Hill Mining Town".
The text "Recorded and Mixed at Windmill Lane Studios, Dublin" (on back cover) is in the same text block of "Drums, Keyboards.......Amek Mixing Console).

It contain a double page info sheet with lyrics on one side and a pic like a poster to the other side.
The inner is without credit "Additional Rhythm Guitar : Daniel Lanois" when compared to [r12493723.

Some copies come with a black inner.
